Interior Designer | Denver

JOB DESCRIPTION

MARGARITA BRAVO is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to design and manage projects from conception through execution and installation. The Designer participates in all phases of a project, including preparing for and participating in client meetings, preparing design schemes, monitoring progress at showroom visits, and overseeing /inspecting installations.

Interior Designer Responsibilities:

  • Design projects from start to finish based on direction from client and principal.
  • Ensure drawings and design are completed on time and adhere to company standards.
  • Responsible for overseeing the execution of design concepts, design development and construction documents, working alongside the design team.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of furniture, lighting, fabric, carpet, wallpaper, etc. lines used by MARGARITA BRAVO, while also finding new resources for the Design team to use.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of upholstery, window treatment fabrication. 
  • Oversee the customization process of all phases of design. 
  • Present to clients independently and interact with/oversee vendors. 
  • Meet with product reps to establish accounts with new product lines that are in line with the company’s projects/ pipeline.
  • Proficiency in architectural design and plan review.
  • Independently review architectural plans and interpret necessary components to skillfully determine furniture plans, lighting selections and window treatments. 
  • Generate thoughtful space planning, furniture plans and anticipate desired architectural adjustments as a result. 
  • Knowledge of fabrication and construction process and materials.
  • Manage quotes and finish schedules of all interior details such as but not limited to, tile, paint, flooring, lighting. 
  • Assist in cabinetry design and shop drawings review. 
  • Attend regular site visits with a keen eye towards overall design integrity and quality of work.

JOB REQUIREMENTS and qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant design experience.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and Studio Designer is preferred.
  • Must be extremely detail orientated.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed. 
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight. 
  • Ability to prepare material and labor cost budgets
  • Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills. 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, varying in different project stages and type.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Upbeat and positive demeanor. 
  • Team player with a sense of humor/ the ability to mesh well with current team members to collaborate on projects.

Procurement Coordinator | Denver

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a Denver based Design and Built firm in search of a talented procurement coordinator. You will support the interior design team throughout the lifecycle of multiple high-end residential and boutique commercial projects by managing the procurement process and overseeing the details of orders to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate for this position is a proactive, detail-oriented problem solver with a knowledge of the interior design industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage quotes request from vendors and tradespeople. Enter information into Studio Designer.
  • Manage and coordinate product purchasing and tradespeople/subcontractors for large-scale, high-end residential and boutique commercial projects from Purchase Order through final installation and punch list.
  • Create Purchase Orders and place them with vendors as specified by design team.
  • Confirm with vendors that orders are correct and confirm expected delivery dates.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors and tradespeople to expedite purchases and site work, problem-solving as issues arise to maintain project timeline and ensure Design Team’s creative vision is not compromised.
  • Drive project progress through timeline management and vendor expediting including making timely deposits/ payments, coordinating shipping, and overseeing purchases. This occurs all the way through installation, including receiving initial pricing quotes, reserves, placing orders, tracking, receiving, inspecting, delivery, & installation
  • Update system with requirements, specifications, and delivery information.
  • Work with accounting to update payment schedules priorities and requests.
  • Audit and match invoices, investigate pricing discrepancies.
  • Update open order delivery status to keep design team informed.
  • Take customer/vendor calls regarding issues with production, delivery, and miscellaneous questions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse deliveries and pick-ups. Confirm with warehouse that orders arrive undamaged. Resolve damages and claims.
  • Coordinate the logistics of all specialty items such as furniture repair and drapery.
  • Assist with design projects as necessary (measurements, deliveries, etc.)
  • Assist with office tasks (answer phones, receive packages, organize samples, etc.)
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with vendors, contractors, and tradespeople.
  • Communicate with vendors for CFAs and finish samples.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Key Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to problem-solve, willing to be flexible and try new things, seek solutions with limited supervisor direction in a proactive manner
  • A taskmaster who loves creating and working through a list – strong multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects with varying timelines and deliverables at once
  • Proactive self-starter – shows both initiative and detailed follow-through/completion
  • Strong attention to detail & strong organizational skills
  • Studio Designer experience a plus
  • Positive and fun, team player, utmost integrity, honesty, & no-drama/ego attitude a necessity
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork and collaboration minded
  • Furniture, retail or interior design industry experience a plus!
  • Self-directed with ability to perform with little direction on multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to represent firm’s values in a professional manner by upholding its positive reputation and status.
  • Experienced in reviewing orders to ensure accuracy and completeness based on approved architectural plans and specifications.
  • Expertise in receiving, shipping, handling, delivery, of all related material and equipment.
  • Clear understanding of all segments of a high-end residential project encompassing programming, schematic design, presentation materials, preparation of design and construction documents, and construction administration activities.
