Welcome to my life as an interior designer–a life of glamour and grit. I’m the kind of designer who takes part in every step of the process as I love being involved in the planning and execution of the details. I love how my professional life has no typical day or routine. My days differ depending on what project I’m working on and which part of the design process is being worked on. Here’s a glimpse into my daily life as an interior designer.
It is evident from the video that I divide my workdays between the office and the project’s actual job site. The initial stage of design is done at the office when we do the layout; plans; fabric, color, and furniture selection; and define each project’s design language. Once the selection is final, and all materials are ordered and received, we head to the project site to bring our vision to life. That’s when we collaborate with our on-site crew and clients to ensure everyone is on the same page. Adding the final touches requires a creative understanding of how to style a home and know the place and purpose of every accessory, especially art.
